How it works

Built for a close finish

  1. 1
    Teams are set beforehand

Three or four runners, mixing abilities, so each team’s predicted time is roughly the same.

  2. 2
    One lap each

Each runner does one lap of the club’s time trial route — 2.6 miles (4.1km), including the Warwick Road hill.

  3. 3
    Into the field

The final leg finishes with a lap of the club field. A great course for a short, fast run.

Who was Reg Tansley?

One of the club’s original members, and its oldest member from the very start. He died in 2008, and the relay is named after him.
